The Northern Rock Foundation (NRF) NRF is one of the longest supporting funders of the Library Club’s work and we have received money through their ‘Basic’ programme, which funds high quality services to people at vulnerable points in their lives. NRF are particularly interested in supporting out approach to tackling the isolation that can affect people as they get older. In their 2005 Annual Report NRF note that at least two million older people in the UK see friends, family and neighbours less than once per week. Providing activities through the Library Club and the Remembering the Past, Resourcing the Future can reduce this type of isolation. Northern Rock Foundation's website

Community Foundation (CF) CF/KF is the other funder that has supported us over a number of years. They administer the Kellett Fund, established in 1996 to benefit older people through a legacy from Douglas Kellett. His particular interest was in helping older people live an active, fulfilling retirement. Community Foundation's website

Awards For All (A4A) A4A is our most recent grant funder, providing us with a one off grant in 2005 to buy capital equipment. This grant was critical to the future of the project because our original computer equipment had become outdated. With our new software we can now store more memories than ever on an up to date database website system.

North Tyneside Library Service (NTLS) NTLS is the final member of our ‘funding family’, providing an in-kind contribution. It provides our project office space and facilities in a corner of North Shields Library and also support the Library Club with staff time and lots of other help. Again, this type of support is critical to the work we do.

The different strengths of our funding family mean that the project is supported from a number of different angles, making it easier to get out and about to do the thing we do best – collecting and displaying memories. Our continued thanks go to them all. Thank You
